About CSF
These are prayers to say soon after waking; do not confuse them with
Morning Prayers, which preferably should come from the
Liturgy of the Hours.
After rising from
sleep, before any other prayers, collect yourself before God, make the
sign of the Cross, and say:
N the name of the Father, and of the
Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Banish infernal darkness
and evil from this house, O Lord, and protect me from the darkness and evil
in the world around me.
O God, I am so alone; without You I am lost in a sinful world and
inclined to sin myself.
O Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, for the sake of my prayers, the
prayers of Your most pure Mother, and the prayers of all the saints, have mercy
on me. Amen.
Glory to Thee, our God,
glory to Thee.
O Heavenly King, Comforter, Spirit of Truth, Who are everywhere
present and fill all things, Treasury of good things and Giver of life:
come and dwell in me and cleanse me of the lies, hate, and impurity—my own and
of others—that have stained my heart; help me to close all of my unconscious openings
to evil and save my soul, O Good One.
Holy God, Holy Mighty, Holy Immortal, have mercy on
me. (Thrice)
Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit,
both now and ever, unto the ages of ages. Amen.
O Most Holy Trinity,
have mercy on me in my need. O Lord, guide me in purging from my heart the dark desire
to commit sin. O Master, forgive my iniquities. O Holy One, visit and heal my
infirmities for Your name’s sake. [Specify]
Lord, have mercy. (Thrice)
Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit,
both now and ever, unto the ages of ages. Amen.
Our
Father . . .
O Guardian Angel, be
with me and protect me this day, and keep me safe in my love for God and
in His love for me. Amen.
O Mary, conceived without
sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee.
Remember O most gracious Virgin Mary . . .
